The developers of the Valley View Downs requested permission to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, but the request was denied. The decision was unanimous but still it doesn't deny the application by Valley View Downs a slot gaming licence in the future.
The problem is, that the Board wants that those who control the slot machine licence should be investigated prior to the licensing the casino. In this way, the Board has time to investigate the background on the application of the developers so in the future they have all the necessary information to consider the award of a slot license. Chairman Mary DiGiacomo Colins said the Pennsylvania Board has a very strict regulatory environment. The important fact is, that the decision made by the Board these days, doesn't mean that it would impact any future decision on Valley View's project for a slot operator's license.
